Camp Sunrise
Embracing inclusion. Unleashing potential.
Sunrise is proud to offer inclusive day camps for children and youth aged 5 – 13+. We provide structured programming and theme days throughout the summer. One of our camp sessions has an Interdenominational Christian theme. Our welcoming family atmosphere places an emphasis on teamwork and respect for others.
Sunrise provides a safe and friendly atmosphere along with:
• Ontario Camp Association accreditation
• Canadian Therapeutic Riding Association certified instructors
• Certified lifeguards
• Low ratio of counsellors to children (1:6 ratio plus each group will have a Leader-in-Training)
• Mature, experienced staff with First aid and CPR training

When I originally introduced my kids to Sunrise, it was because my youngest, Lucy, has Autism and I knew the staff at Sunrise would be in tune with her special needs. What I didn’t expect was for my son, Jeremy, who is ‘typical’ to love it every bit as much as she did. I love that I can send my children to Sunrise together…I have kept waiting for Jeremy to notice that he is attending a camp designed to cater to kids with special needs but he hasn’t noticed. And really, why should he? Kids are kids and camp is camp. I love how at Sunrise everyone is just a camper. Kudos to your dedication to an integrated camp. It’s seamless.

I was given the opportunity to spend my summer at Sunrise. The memories of camp and the people I met will last a lifetime, and the stories of my experiences will be shared with hopes to inspire others to be more inclusive and accepting.

Sunrise is a wonderful place – it is more than a summer camp. It is unique and amazing. Our kids have been coming here for 5 years now and we plan our summer vacation around Sunrise because we love it so much. There is no other camp like Sunrise! My daughter has learned more in the 2 week sessions at Sunrise than she did at private lessons at a different farm.
